Ray’s Lebanese Cuisine

At one point I was laying off bread for dietary reasons and would buy shawarma plates. One of the best places that would sell shawarma plates is from Ray’s Lebanese Cuisine. The reason why it’s good is not only do you get a lot of different options but you would also get a large quantity of food. It’s easily one of the best places to go when you’re really hungry.

When you’re looking to order your food you notice that there is a lot of options available to you and it’s very organized. You start up with your rice, they give you 2 different options. There is basmati rice or mujaddara. Mujaddara is a rice meal that has basmati rice, spices and lentils. The next options were the vegetables. You either had a mix of cauliflower, green peppers, and onions or an onion and eggplant mixture. After the vegetables comes the next best thing after the chicken shawarma and that is the potatoes wedges. You get these lemon and garlic potatoes wedges that are absolutely delicious. They’re so good that I can eat a whole plate of them without realizing it. After the potatoes you notice that your plate is already half full but there is still more food left. The next option is the best one and it’s the shawarma. You have the option of either beef or chicken shawarma. After doing so you have to add your salad option which you have a few options to go with. Tabbouli which is parsley salad, fattouch which is a salad that includes onions, spices and fried bread or a greek salad.

As you can see you get a big plate of food that will make you full for the day. Not only is the quantity large but because of the different options you get to customize your plate to what you might like best. The cost of this meal is more than reasonable as it usually costs less than 14$. The absolute best thing about this meal is the shawarma, they have the right mixture of spices to make the meat tender. It’s one of the few places that I’ve been to that has the perfect amount of spices and marinate and when you combine it with there own brand garlic sauce, the meal becomes perfect.
